Sails enemies

Sun light and flaping are the worst enemies of your sails. Sun light is expecially dangerous for Kevlar and Mylar sails. When a sail is not going to be used for a long time, should be placed inside the boat, protected from the UV rays, and dryed.

Other enemies are whips and the salt. Whips are very dangerous. They can produce a serious delaminates of the cloth and distruction of the sail finishings. Do what is possible to avoid them, even if during the minutes befor a race start it would be very difficult.

The salt shoud be washed up as often as possible.
