DACRON
This polyestere fiber is the foun traditional woven sailcloth. High resistence with low price. Is the most common choice for sailors.

MYLAR
Nylon and polyestere lamitate sailcloth.

KEVLAR
An aramid fabric that is 5 times greater polyestrer so that it stratches less and the sails made of it can be lighter. Is stronger than polyester but not as durable in terms of fatigue and is UV sensitive end can be effected by sunlight. Very used in high-end racing applications

CARBONIO
Is extremely high modulus but not very durable. Carefully avoid hard creases in folding.

NYLON
Used to make spinnakers and mps.Very light weight but not very stretch and resistant. Is manufactured in 0.5 oz, 0.75 oz, 1.5 oz, 2oz.
